I started photography on mere whim, in December of 2007, not too long ago...and it kind of swept me away!
It's funny now, being 24, and just now stumbling into something I know will be a part of my life as long as I live.
I am in no way technically talented....YET. But I do believe that God has gifted me with an eye and passion for the beauty in this world.
Currently I am using the good old Canon Rebel XT 8mp, and it suits me just fine for practice, but I know eventually I'll be upgrading in a year or so...
I will eventually do this as a business on the side, but I am determined to make myself worthy enough to hire. I don't feel it's fair to charge people for something unless it's top quality...and I find it interesting how many photographers out there who have been charging for years don't even know how to set the F Stop on their camera. I mean, come ON!
I have been doing a lot of observation photography mostly...since that's all I have the guts to photograph so far!
I have done one "real" photoshoot, where the composition turned out like I wanted, but the lighting was pretty awful, and I am teaching myself all of the technical aspects, so I made a few mistakes in camera settings.
I have a pregnancy portrait photoshoot coming up, and after that some family portraits...not really my cup of tea but it's good practice.
I currently live in the Sacramento area (shoot me) but would love to live by the ocean. Santa Cruz or San Diego preferrably.
(Disneyland in a perfect world, lol)
I absolutely love getting to know new people, people who's brain they don't mind me picking about photography, and I love seeing all the fresh and amazing talent that comes through here daily.
While my job consists of cubicle walls and stale kitchen coffee, my heart is drawn to bigger, more beautiful things... the things I believe God placed on this earth for us to notice and to remember His love.
